ok guys its about time to buy a sway bar for my build .. any pros or cons to differnt brands? and whos best to buy from ? has anyone made there own that work decent ?

thanks for the info adam

As long as you have a set bolt and a big washer you are fine :flipoff1:

That is a must with the AL arms. Drill and tap the bar for a 1/4" bolt and put a big washer on and bolt it down.

Still don't understand the idea behind putting these on crawler.Don't you think a crawler that has the right spring setup on the coil overs and the right valving would do fine without binding the suspension? Drag cars run the same things and call them anti rolls, the idea is to put equal pressure on both rear tires to make the car go straight when the front end is in the air, aka no flex. Could possible see them on the front end for wide open hill shots, but would love to see alot of the bigger rigs undo the rear anti rock to see if they could benefit from the flex making the rigs crawl things instead of having to hit **** wide open, although it wouldn't be near as entertaining.

I've run several of the Speedway bars on both mine and my brother's rigs and they work great. Affordable, too. In fact I just ordered some stuff from them last week for my current project.

I used to have a rock equipment sway bar and it twisted and didn't go back 2 times. Tony K. said my suspension was flawed but I replaced it with one from Speedway in the ame exact setup and it worked fine thenceforth. That was a long time ago though. I'm sure he's fixed whatever the issue was by now??? That was what led me to the Speedway bars though and I haven't bought anything but since. I would use the steel arms though as I have had a couple aluminum ones strip out.

I have never run one. :dunno: I use a little stiffer springs than the 'norm' on my rig though.

Dont need them sway bars when you got these :woot:

that is very true but i dont now if i have a enough room for oris.. that would be nice though how big are they in diameter

looks like iam going to go with black sheep

Ya I got mine from kelly. I used to have a picture of a ori next to a 2.0 airshock but I can't find it. Ill measure mine tommarow but I think there around 3" so the same as a 2.5 co with springs. There something you want to make room for. Sway bar, bump stop and shock in one.
