Switch to coil overs

I have a Toyota based buggy all tube chassis.
Currently running coil springs snd ajustable
shocks. Weighs approx. 2300 lbs. ? Is how do I
Determine length and travel of coil overs to buy ?

You take a measurement with it at full bump then full extension with no binding and that's your usable travel then make your shock hoops fit those length shocks= full compression shocks bottomed out! Call Jimmy at Eor he can help you with tuning and spring rates also very good deals on shocks :dblthumb:

Measure the down side or the up side ?

Measure say from your frame/chassis above the axle to the axle at full bump the raise it until the driveshaft or something else is about to bind that is your travel? That help?

Basically I coud pick up one side to full flex
And measure both sides

For the money would I gain anything.

No not really because you have deal with the angles changing strait up and down is your best bet!
If your setup works for you then no! But coilovers are more tunable and can handle certain situations better.
