So I just got back from putting new rear output bearings in my np205, and nothing has changed.... it still wobbles...:booo: I think it might be the input bearing, but is there something i am missing here? should it have some play? I know my rear pinion angle is off a few degrees, but could it be all that and not from a slight wobble in the t-case output? I jsut dont want to let this wobble get out of hand and ruin something further down the food chain line...:booo:

ok..um..what exactly is the problem? what wobbles?
i just got done putting bearings in my 205...

The T-case output shaft is able to move up and down i'd say 1/16th to 1/18th of an inch(very rough guess), all the inner needle bearings are in place, the two rear bearings are brand new. the input bearing up front is the same, but SUPPOSEDLY is new form being rebuilt before i got it. Is there a shim or washer i left out. I've never had a t-case output move like this, I know it moves in and out a little bit, but i mean, driving down the highway at 50mph produced a pretty good vibration when holding onto the shifters...:eeek:

u talking the front output? it shouldnt move. the bearing is bad. i just replaced that bearing...for that very reason. it was SOLID after i changed it.
i still get a touch in/out. but the up/down side/side was gone.

ya, i know they;re easy, but now i have to pull the whole thing down to get to the front one maybe... it's got the new bearings in it and it's still wobbling... when i had them out, and pulled the rear shaft piece out, i move the input side shaft and it wobbled around quite a bit, so i am guessing that is what it is, but i was hoping to know why it's still so much, it just doesnt seem like it should be this much at the output end with brand new bearings!:mad::mad:
