Whats so bad about them? I accidently bought a used set and haven't decided to use them or not.

Possibly going on my YJ, SUA in the rear. Trailer queen, never on the street.

They unload to easy.

Going up or down thing make it more dangerous.

Accidently????????? :looser:  :rb:

As has been told already they unload very suddenly. Know a couple guys who ran them on Zuks and they rolled after installing them. I wrote it up to the tire/spring unloading too quickly.

.

Well I saw a good deal and I figured what the hell I could give them a try and if worse case sell them.

I'm also just thinking about drilling a new hole and moving the rear shackle location to the correct angle. Right now at rest my shackles are at maybe a 80* angle. More like 85*. I think if I get the right angle about 45-60* on the shackle, that my ride will soften up a bit in the rear and the leafs will work more.

I guess I'm the smartest guy around cuz I ran revolvers and "made" them work.As Robin pointed out...a tight antiwrap bar and limit straps. They served as a temporary solution to a problem until I linked the rear of my last XJ.

I ran up and down lines with that setup the "some" buggy owners still havent ran in there buggies.

Edit.....ooops..posted under MD69's login:rolleyes:

With moving the shackles, making a traction bar, getting the revolvers set up, you would spend just a lttle more time to link up the rear. Use shocks and coill springs to keep cost down. I have a whole buggy worth of slightly used 5/8 heims.

With all the pre-cut brackets and weld in threaded bungs now on the market, it would be quick and easy to do. Heims on one end, bushing on the other..... one order of brackets and a weekend of welding and your done. Astro Van coils were the ones people used before we all got rich and bought them fancy coilovers.

If you go this route, you could get a bunch of help from some of us that did this on the cheap a few years ago.

If I end up linking it. I'll go with Air shocks. I just linked the front with air shocks and love it.

But I have just dumped a lot of money into it and I'm out of fundage again. So for now I need to figure out something or just take it easy on the skinny. because axle wrap has caused 2-3 break's this year.

but how much for 8 hiems??
