In conjunction with the Durhamtown Moonshine Festival and BBQ Cook-Off on March 21-23, Durhamtown will host The "Bootlegger's Challenge" on Saturday, March 22. The Bootlegger's Challenge will be a timed race open to ALL 4wd vehicles on the new obstacle course located at the entrance of the park.
Sponsors for the event include:

• Classic City Off Road (CCOR) located in Athens, Georgia

The Bootlegger's Challenge will be divided into 2 classes:
1. Street Legal 4wd Vehicles (All vehicles in this class must be
tagged and insured)
• Entry Fee- $25 payable on the Durhamtown website at the
time of registration
Entry Fee will include the race and all of the festival
activities on Saturday
• Currently, the prizes are set for 50 drivers. If we go over
50 entries, Durhamtown will add $10 from each entry to
the prize pool. Maximum of 100 participants, so register
early!
• Prizes for 50 entries:
First- $700
Second- $300
Third- 9000lb Engo winch
Fourth- High-Lift jack
Fifth- Durhamtown package
• Each vehicle will get one lap around the track.
Place determined by the fastest lap time.
5:00 minute maximum time limit
2. Unlimited Class- Anything goes! This class is for the rigs
that cannot be driven on the road (trailer rigs and buggies)
• Entry Fee- $35 payable on the Durhamtown website at the
time of registration
Entry Fee will include the race and all of the festival
activities on Saturday
• Overall Fastest winner only
• Prize- $300 plus Durhamtown will put $20 of each racer's
entry fee back into the pot.
• Same course, same time limits, fastest lap wins.
To enter either race, your vehicle MUST have working safety belts/harnesses for driver and occupants!
While it is not required, if you have safety equipment (ex. Fire extinguishers, straps, etc.) please bring them with you.
Race packet pickup and sign-in will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22 at the BLUE CCOR tent. Driver's Meeting at 1:30 p.m. The Bootlegger's Challenge will begin at 2:00 p.m. The time of the Awards Ceremony will be determined by the number of participants. You do not have to be present to win.
After driving, you will be able to enjoy the Durhamtown Moonshine Festival and BBQ Cook-Off. You will be able to meet cast members from the hit show, "Moonshiners". During the Cook-Off, you will be able to sample delicious varieties of BBQ cooked by amateurs as well as pros and wash it down with samples of moonshine! Walk around, enjoy the live band, visit with various vendors, and watch the freestyle shows. You will have plenty of time to enjoy the event…the festivities will last until 2:00 a.m.!
