The crow has flew the coupe.. Big chief crash

Dam, I love that show, a lot of fake stuff we all know but those cars aren't fake.

Looks like another racer may've been involved. Hopefully both are OK though. Wrecking your own car is one thing.....wrecking INTO someone else would make it like 10x as bad for me.

From what I have read, there were filming last night, he was racing Brian "Chucky" from Detroit, Brian got loose and hit Big Cheifs car, and they both crashed.

So how does the money change hands in this situation? Both are screwed right?

Now don't get me wrong....these guys prolly have enough money to rebuild the car this weekend and go run some 6's the week after.....I'm not gonna argue that.

Say you have 2 cars that are drag racing each other....illegally on a DOT road....both cars registered and insured......car in the other lane tail whips and T-bones you. Could you file an insurance claim? Take them to court?

I know what I would do if it was MY fault......pay for their car. Either by cash or taking out a personal loan to the best of my abilities. Back in my street racing days I was fortunate enough to not ever hafta deal with that situation but I was involved in a few where the after race "pay outs" didn't happen or their "crew" didn't wanna pony up the cash after a sore loss. "Buddies" became very unfriendly after that and was why I always had 5+ big guys with me. I'm no Tyson....but I can defend myself in apples/apples situations. Been knocked down a few times.....put a few down as well. ;) Can't remember what I squeezed on the bathroom scale, but I don't remember advertising the number so it must not've been that impressive. :)

Justin Shearer aka Big Chief
OKC street racing scene star Justin Shearer is known as Big Chief and in the online world as BigChiefOKC. Street racing ain't probably one of the most profitable sports but Justin made a small fortune when he joined cast for reality TV show Street Outlaws in 2013. His current net worth is $700,000 as of 2015.

My wife is from Oklahoma and my brother-in-laws have watched the 405 crew race a few times. That's a shame, I'm sure a lot of the drama on the show is fake, but they all seem like good dudes.

the way my insurance agent explained it to me was if i was doing something illegal then they would not pay. That includes like a DUI and i hit someone. But Discovery probably had some sort of insurance thing wouldnt you think?

I bet that car of his was 150k car. It would be hard to come up with that kind of cash. A bank would laugh my ass out of there if I asked for it on an unsecured loan. That car is the equivalent of buying a TC buggy. I'm sure you could buy it, but it will cost you.

Is property you owe on put in on net worth? I don't know if net worth is liquid assets. How cash you can put your hands on?

If property/business is in on net worth, 700k isn't that high of a number.

If you die and they sell everything and put it in one big (or small) pot......how much is in the pot? Total of everything minus what you owe. That equals your net worth.

That doesn't include potential income either, which you would factor into the selling of a business.

Assets minus liabilities...

Big Chief will pick up a old prostock or pro mod chassis. Then throw the latest and greatest parts on it. His sponsors will get him whatever he needs.

Someone posted on another forum that since he was filming for the show that Discovery's insurance would cover the replacement of the car and his health bills.

Was a hell of a car that had a motor built in south Tennessee at Butler Performance. And was run on Lanes dyno here in Alabama back in May.
