I'm asking everyone to look for new spots, we would like to put a list together. do some scouting and post pics if you can.

Some things to keep in mind when posting up spots..

State and city parks are good places to look.

Parking for alot of rigs. This is a biggie....

Restrooms, honeybucket, or a big tree... as the comps get bigger it will be an all day thing.

Keep in mind that not eveyone own's a truck or a 4WD.. I know its hard to beleave..:D

The place dosent have to be really big, but the rock has to be.

Feel free to ad to the list.

The hunt is on..

hello is this thing on....j/k

Ok everone still keep looking..

what dose everyone think about the spot mike found for a sept. comp..

Location:
Tinkham Road Exit 42 off I-90
Turn right on Tinkham road
Road turns to dirt after 200feet
About 1/2mile you will see the second concrete stream crossing
To the left will be a on vehicle camp site.

I went on a scouting run today out past Enumclaw. Not a lot to be found, except for some possibility at Kanasket Palmer State Park. There are some rocks down by the river, but there are not a lot of good lines. Seemed like most of the big rocks you wouldn't be able to get on top of, and the little ones would be no challenge. Maybe with some rock stacking it would be ok. My stoopid self didn't bring the camera, so sorry, no pics.

It's frustrating, I know there is an awesome spot right here under our noses somewhere that we are all just missing. I've been going on the principal that there has to be rocks in the places where rivers cut down into the earth, and where mountians push up, so there has to be something. I really want to find some terrain based stuff to crawl on.

Next I plan to check out aroung Flaming Gyser state park. If we can get down into the green river gorge, there might be a spot.

I was at rimrock today and found the best place I've ever seen. It's 1 mile before you get to the airstrip. There is an area about the size of a football field or so. All kinds of lines and dificulties. Easy to super extreme. Not a lot of parking, just along the side of the road. Might be a place to check out.

There is a lot more that I didn't get pics of. The pics don't really do it justice. It's pretty cool. Maybe a get together before making a comp spot? I've only been to 1 comp and that was goldendale so I don't know that much about comp spots, but I had a blast for a couple of hours and only ran on a small portion of the area. Anyway thought I would throw this out there.:D

I was coming from Yakima, turned left on I believe Tieton Rd, the first road that goes to rimrock lake, 100 yards or so west of Bethel Ridge Rd. Going to airstrip/boatlanding area. One mile before you get to the airstrip/Boatlanding turn off, it's on the right side of the road. You'll see the first pic. I'll go back up there and clock how far from Highway 12 it is to the spot. I'll also look closer at road signs. I just usually drive because I know how to get there from memory not following signs.

holy crap just drive on highway 12 and u will see rocks everywhere i bought cryed on the drive back from yakima knowing i could be wheeling on them

IB - Rimrock Lake is a big resivoir about 10 - 15 miles East of White Pass along Hwy 12. From the West, you would want to turn Right on the 2nd Tieton Road you come to, because the road circles the lake and comes back out on the highway again. (these rocks are on the East end of the lake). During the Summer, it's easiest to go over 410 / 123. During the winter you would have to go South to 12, because Chinook / Cayuse are closed. I'm going to say it's about a 2 1/2 hour trip over, but it is a beautiful drive through Mt Rainer National Park.

Tanis is right in that parking is limited, but there are camping areas all around, so we could work that out, and I believe there are pit toilets at the bigger camping areas, which is good when a tree just won't do.

For anyone in the olympia area. What about that park just below the old brewery. I seem to remember the creek that ran along there had some rock on the banks. Somewhere to check out.

Places are out there, you just have to keep your eyes open. :; I went on a four day/three night camping trip this past weekend and took my lil' rig w/ me.

This was just east of Newhalem on Hwy 20. This particular line was SUHWEET, pics don't do it justice. :D

Below is a spot along the Entiat River west of Chelan. Can't really tell by the pic, but this spot was "RC death wheelin'"; one bad tumble or radio glitch and the rig would have been a goner...

At the end of my trip on Monday I was headed home over I-90, so I figured I'd check out the spot on Tinkham. It's the first Tinkham exit if you're heading west, BTW. Great spot, had lots of fun there.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. Keep me posted if there are any upcoming comps or get-togethers. I'm rarely on this board so shoot me a PM.

Looks like a cool place to crawl. You mean your crawler can't swim? LOL. Oh, mine can't either!!

Yeah, not even so much the water though. You can't see it in the pic but the backside of that rock angles off then drops down-down-down to the lower part of the falls. The water was pretty vicious at the bottom - any RC rig falling into that would get blown into a million pieces. :clappy:
