The higher temp one does indeed allow the fluid in the rad sit longer where it's cool before going into the engine to be heated up again. Fuel economy is better and emissions are lower too. If you are running carbed however, there is a higher chance of vapor lock. I used to have the SAE paper on that, but haven't seen any of that stuff since I moved.
