I gave $1025 for my 2006 6.0 LQ4 van engine complete with harness and ECM. It had 140k on it but I have seen them with over 300k on them and still used no oil. I did have to call a few junk yards to find an American owned one that would give me a package price. The foreign owned ones would not.I thought about adding a cam but I can break all the part I want, and melt down the 43 stickies with it stock, so why bother.
