so i know you all gave me advice before on my driveshaft issue. looks like i may need your insight yet again. the driveshaft guy called me today and said that he had everything he needed except an H yoke (think thats what he said) anyway the only one he could locate was in cali and cost like $107 just for the H yoke. so i asked him to give me a round about figure on what the whole thing would cost, and he said he would call me right back. well he did and he said the price would be $540 and i was like holy **** dont order the part just yet lets hold off. does that seem to you like hes giving me the driveshaft :flipgotcha: anyway i know some of you mentioned tom woods and some other places, but i just couldnt quite justify $540 for the driveshaft. that seems high to me and i dont know anything about this **** other then what you guys tell me. Thoughts ideas, momma is starting to ask lots of questions and thats not good "why cant we take the jeep" :flipper: :spin:

I'm sure P or Kelly can chime in and give you some exact prices but that does sound outrageous to me. My problem is I can't remember what I gave for my Tom Woods. If I can find my reciept I'll let you know but I think it was in the $400 something range and that was brand new everything ready to bolt in. All I did was measure yoke to yoke and tell them what I was running...14 bolt to a 300 with AA HD Output shaft and ....VOILA!.....a few days later it was on my doorstep!

Yeah Cabot that is a re-damn-****ing-diculous price!
High Angle Driveline would be cheaper and he is UBBER bling on his prices. Call Tom Woods!

I can deal direct through Tom Woods... unfortunately I couldnt price it until
A. Tom Woods priced it to me
B. The Boss said xx.xx to customer and he is outta of the office until this Friday.

P once i get my driveshaft back from this guy i will resend you all of the specs, and then call tom woods myself and see where he prices it up for me direct. then see what he prices it to you for with whatever your boss tacks on as well. i wont be doing anything on it til next week so when your boss gets back and you figure out overall cost let me know. plus if i get a brand new one i think i can keep all the existing parts for a spare.

Ill need all specs as I mentioned so we can get a quote through Tom Woods. Or if you wanna just jump on it, by all means hit him up and see what Tom can do for you.

Id also look at driveline specialties

and any other "Not Hot" in the 4x world buzz reputable driveshaft shop. You can shop around and find a much better deal is what Im saying.

wyatt do you remember what group the TGTW guys said they used to get their driveshafts? if not if you speak with them will you ask :spin:

Heck, give Wansley Driveline a call over here in Mississippi. I have been wanting to see what his pricing was like anyway. His name is Gerald and his number is 601-425-1426.

the guy at driveshafts inc just called and said he found a driveshaft with an h yoke for 475 if i want to do that, and i would still have my old driveshaft. but it sounds like it is used i will have to dbl check, still need to get a quote from tom woods and some others

Been years since I had one built custom, but man that seems high. These are Spicer parts no?

Run Toyota joints, Jesse says they are as strong as tons. :flipoff1:
