After having the Power Wagon for two weeks, it is going to sit without a transmission and transfer case and wait on a new intake manifold to arrive, oil pan gasket #3, rear main seal #3, back window seal #2, fix four oil leaks, reflash the ECM, and diagnose why the transmission shifts erratically.

Meanwhile, Im rolling an old work truck that doesnt start when its below 45* (its always below 45* in MO in the winter) or riding my bicycle, after I spent over $40k on a new ride.

>:( >:(

About to be lawyer time.

What constitutes or make a vehicle applicable for the lemon law?

Yes, I am very frustrated with this truck, the dealer, and Dodge. I would like to see it go...

I have a friend that just got layed off from the Post Office and could probably use a couple of bucks. :flipoff1: I had a similar situation with my Ford diesel blowing Turbo boots off 8 TIMES. Finally, the truck suddenly lost brakes pulling ino Adamson Ford and i got there attention. Amazingly they put a new Turbo on and never had a problem after that. (p.s. I didn't have to use Larry from the Post Office) molaugh

wow brian. sounds like it has gotten worse since I talked to you the other night. sounds like the ****ing truck is a curse. IMO if you let this **** go without lawyering up it will be a thorn in your side the rest of your days of ownership and you'll always feel upside down. I think its time to push them for a buyback. **** that.

After some research today, lemon law is a good possibility. They dont technically "buy back" your vehicle, just give a credit for another Chrysler product with equal MSRP, minus depreciation. Depreciation is calculated by dividing the MSRP by the vehicle having a lifespan of 120,000 miles, the multiplying that by mileage, and subtracting from MSRP.

P Wgn - $46,000
Mileage - 14,500

46,000/120,000 => $0.3833 per mile * 14,500 = $5558.33 depreciation => I would get $40,441.67 credit toward the MSRP on a new Chrysler vehicle. hitit I do not know how incentives and 2008/2009 plays into this. We will see. Next time I will get a 6 cylinder.

Hope so! Tired of messing with it and doing without my new truck that starts, doesnt shake, and doesnt piss off my neghbors while it rattles and sputters for 30 minutes while it's warming up. There will be no mosquitoes in my hood while Im rollin an old p-stroke and its 10*! booyang

Bryan what about all the extras you installed on the truck. Yes, no doubt a vehicle replacement is the way to go. With the value of trucks especially powerwagons drop a replacement scenario will definitely be the best way. I have done a few replacement vehicles with added equipment and they reimbursed the customer for what he spent within reason. I hope the replacement deal works out for ya.

Or a new SRT Challenger!

Steven, if I get a replacement, it will probably be from you. I'll call you tomorrow AM.

Karl Klement Dodge called this morning, supposedly the truck is fixed. ::) It has been less than 18 hours, but no reported leaks. They could not find any problems with the transmission, even though its shifts constantly every time I drive it on the highway. Back glass has a new set of seals in it, hopefully these last long enough to make it from TX to MO without turning my truck into a wind tunnel. They offered no advice for the damage that has been done to my motor with having a crack in the intake manifold for 14,600 miles.

Sent registered letters to dealership and Robert Nardelli, and will be waiting on a response. >:(

You know seems like a franchise car dealer would be more concerned with with good service than anything else in a time like this.
