yea, it is tough.  I have been in the Guard for 9 years now, luckily I have yet to go overseas, but my time is coming.   from what I hear we are scheduled for 2011 (which means fall 2010).     I am a 63B, wheeled vehicle mechanic, they combined the 63s (heavy) and 63b (light) a couple years ago to make just one wheeled vehicle MOS.    I have H8 (track vehicle recovery specialist) qualifications as well.      The unit I am in now is a transport/heavy lift aviation battalion...our section is kind of the black sheep of the battalion since all the others sections and companies have something to do with aviation.

I also work for the Guard full time as well, doing the same thing as my MOS,  basically a diesel mechanic paid by the federal gov't.  I have to stay in the guard to keep my job, but its worth it for the pay/benefits.
