I hear ya for sure. we are an aviation unit, so ground maint. is low priority, compared to the 58s, Chinooks, Blackhawks... I have actually thought about switching over to the whirly bird side, definately more opportunities for bigger paychecks.I really like working as a tech, its pretty laid back in our shop, definately work at your own pace, as long as you are working. right now it sucks, we are switching over to SAMS E and getting rid of ULLS-G....PITA. we are supposed to be getting a new shop in a few years, but we shall see since they have been saying that for the last 5-6 years...LOL of course they are building a new hanger for the aircraft people. Are you in a FMS shop or CSMS?
