I'm about to begin my build in earnest and could use some assistance in deciding on my rod ends. Lifting the xj just enough to cram 35s in, d44 three link front, d60 leaf spring rear. I'll be doing a custom crossmember (inspired by bsfab. net write ups) and probably 2" solid 6061 lowers, 1.5" upper (unless somehow 2" fits).

I'll almost certainly run some quality 1.25" heims on the axle, but I'm unsure about frame side. This jeep is being built to get too and from the trail as well as kick ass trail riding and crawling. Because of the interstate driving to and from trails, I'm hesitant to put heims on both ends. My concern is two fold - 1) it's gunna rattle my teeth out and 2) I'm going to beat up the joints and the rig with vibes. Because of this, I'm considering a rebuildable joint on the frame side.

I've not found many comparisons of the different rebuildable joints and I know they can have their own issues as well. I know conventional wisdom says hard joints everywhere on a three link, but the metal cloak duroflex joints really catch my eye for this application.

I guess I'm hoping to get feedback on
1) are my fears reasonable or are the vibes not really an issue
2) which rebuildable joints work well in an application like this
3) other than the 50 page monster from when duroflex joints were revealed, what's the word on them now? are people having good success?
