Where does one go to get different thickness thrust washers for a D44? I am trying to get a lockright center gap to spec but need some thinner thrust washers.

Thanx

Saawwweeeeet...I haven't been able to get this lockright Wylie sold me to work right for the life of me. I want to try opening up the gap in the middle so the cross pin can lock the two sides together better

Joe, I am having trouble finding them. I know they are here somewhere but I did find 2 @ .031 if that will help. I am going to dig through the "pile" again..........

PM me your addy if you want the 2 I have found so far......

So I talked to Randy's and they said that stock is .030 and that they have never heard of someone needing any less than that to make a lockright work. The guy told me to take the .028 ones I have to a belt sander and take them down to whatever thickness I need....which is like .015

I think you are because randy's said they only came in the .030 flavor and that anything less than that was just worn. I'm gonna call Powertrax back and see what they suggest and after that the fawker gets hucked through somebodies window one piece at a time hahahaha

By the way anyone talked to Wylie lately...Ive been meaning to talk to him about this since it was his before I bought it????

He has been MIA for a couple of months now......

So has anyone else on here had trouble getting a lockright to fall within specs...especially on the tight side? I talked to powertrax again and they suggested I sand down the thrust washers on a nice flat surface to take 5-10 thous. off each one. Yeah right...you ever try sanding a hardened metal...it is a very slow process and probably would take me a lot of hours to take that much metal off. Help???????

Don't know exactly why mine blew up. but when I put it in,
Randy's gave me two brand new washers.
Seemed to be pretty tight when I installed it.
Can't remember what the measurement was though......

For the d44 new washers are 30 thous which is what I am at now...I need to get some washers that are more like 20 thous. I am going to try sticking them in the milling machine at work today and see if I can't really screw them up

So I tried just pulling the washers completely out and it put the tolerances alot closer to the accepted range. But unfortunately the locker teeth still slip so at this point I have to assume it is probably the locker. I guess I am on the search now for a real locker and I have some nice hunks of metal for boat anchors
