tie rod end preferance?

Whats it for? Really most either end up with 1 ton ends for street legal rigs or heims for custom applications. The 1 ton ends are generally around $30 bucks each and are stout, The only real issue is the taper on them is large so you will have to ream out the steering arm(or knuckle) to make them work.

its for my toyota with a high steer kit

Just take the wore out cheap ass ones from Trail Gear out and toss them.

Replace them with FJ80 tierods, they thread in and replace the TG ones.

Dont buy the cheapest ones you find at schucks or vatozone. You get what you pay for when it comes to joints.

Personally I like the ones that are still together! :fawkdancesmiley: Steering's a good thing...:awesomework:

Just out of curiosity, why not heims for street legal rigs? Cost, wear, or law?

iim gunna pull the ends off and take them with me..

Bunk is saying to get them straight from Toyota. Usually easier just to go with a 1 ton ends because quality is prett constant.

I would go 1 ton ends with a Bunk chromo tie-rod and draglink :awesomework:

The tripple5 Tierod ends for the FJ80 last the longest from my experience, Marlins, trail gear etc and get loose real quick.

this is the ultimate fix but kinda goes againt the reason he owns a toyota. Cheap and strong.

Just converting his rods and links and reaming all the parts to work with it will over price a whole Hysteer kit.

The 80 ends from toyota are fine on a toy with 38s.

But yes one ton tierods would fix it all. Just be sure to install the one ton axle under it too. Where do ya stop?

A heat treated chrome rod on a housing that will bend first?:scratchhead:

LOL I don't think cheap goes along with this sport.

I didn't say heat treated chromo rod on a tin can housing. I just said chromo rod. I used to be able to get them for $100 tapped for right and left hand ends?

I see Trailgear offers the whole kit for $300. I would order the kit and be done.
