TiMming a drive shaft?

You mean timing? as in making sure it the u joints are in phase with each other?

Just make sure the yokes on the yokes on the shaft are inline with each other.

And make sure your angles are good.

Yes timing damn iphone. Thanks for pic im running a high angle joint at transfer case from tom
Woods so i know theres goin be vibes from that but its horrible looked at shaft yokes arent in line with each other that cuase bad vibe?
 
The off set joints will cause vibes but being out of phase will rattle you're teeth more :****:

Yes, out of phase will rattle like a paint shaker :spin:
 
While going over mine for this weekend i noticed mine was out of phase by about a third of a round. I just had to tighten my pinion nut, it had backed out. Re-torqued to spec. I'm wondering if it being out of phase could have vibrated pinion nut loose?Shaft doesn't appear to be twisted??? Almost 100% sure shaft was in phase when I installed it, could be wrong tho?? Could my output shaft (205) be twisted, my slip is on xfer case side :dunno:
