will 33x10.5s fit on a stock 3g toyota p/u? my brother is looking to get some new tires, and was thinking about bumping up the size. if they wont, what is the largest tire that will fit without rubbing?

They will fit fine. I had 33 10.5 bfg at's on my 2 gen 4 runner and they never rubbed

go 3" body and 33"s

if you like seeing how cool your frame looks, do it :flipoff: otherwise, lift it with suspension. it will work better for you and be less likely to cause you problems.

It can be done, but he will have to do some fender well massaging in the front if he wants to turn sharp. I'd be more inclined to recommend going with 31's or 32's... the 32's might still require a bit of work to turn all the way.

I ran 33x10.5 on stock Toyota wheels and the tires rubbed the frame a little at full lock. Other then that no issues.

actually, let me correct myself. he is looking at a 1.5" body lift, new shocks & springs, and wants to know what the biggest size tire he can fit is.

Well i ran 33x10.5 TSL's with 1.5" suspension with no rub at all. THats on stock backspacing rims. I also ran 35's out back with very minor fendet trimming and no rub. I plan on doing some trimming up front and a 1-2" BL and running 35's in the spring. Just get 35's and hack up them fenders!

this is going to sound like a real noob question, but...what is backspacing? how does it work? is it spacers between the wheel and hub?

just an ignorant question. Why not a 34x9.50? they are a bit taller, but being so narrow, you can keep them from rubbing as much as a 33x12.50, or maybe even a 33x10.50.

I guess you might need some trimming, but with a 1.5 inch bodylift, could you work them?

The reason I ask is that a toyota does REALLY good with a skinny tire, in my view. Of course, I dont look at the rocks like you guys do.

School me!:corn: :hi: :stirpot:
