I need street tires. Shocking, I know. I know nothing about street/ a/t tires. What's good? bad? cheap? I'm running 17s so everything is gonna be expensive but I'd love to keep it below 900 bucks for four. I'm going for 33-35x11-13. Ideas? Also will have some 33x12x17 claws for sale if anyone's interested... ;D

I run 35" BFG Mud Terrain T/As on the street. I've gotten 50k out of each set and I'm on my 3rd set. Truck has 110k on it, and they went on at 3k.
Street really well, are quite, and have never had a flat. Had one go down due to my valvestem leaking though.

Hmm... $209ea on tirerack.com for 35x17 BFG MTs. That's very acceptable. I've been fighting feathering issues on my rear axle because it's a c-clip and has slop, so I'm nervous about getting another "aggressive" tire. :-\

i sell a lot of hankook RT03 muds. they are supposedly run about 50-60K and they are about in your price range. hankook also just came out with a new RF10 that is a very nice a/t. they are just getting in this area, so check around or tirerack.

Dude the best hookup ever!!! On my 2nd set a guy came in Lukes (cash talks) shop bragging about $125 35" BFG Muds. Well I didn't need a set but a few months later back in Houston I did. And 4wpw's will match any deal, right. HA!!! So I call Luke, tell him to fax them an invoice qoute for 4 35" BFG's mounted and balance. No **** they matched it.
Luke was initially reluctant because we think the guy was jacking them off shipping trucks. But none the less Luke or myself could have put in an order for a set for $125.

Shiat!!! Saved me big time! I was broke as a joke.

search local craigslist dude... my buddy picked up some nice goodyear at's for 5 for $100 each.. BRAND NEW... guy had em mounted and didnt fit his jeep (too big) so dumped em cheap. I find hella good deals on CL my friend 8)

Anybody know anything about the Maxxis Bighorn? It's very similar to a BFG MT but it's siped, and 20 bucks cheaper per.

Yeah when my MT's where out I will definately replace them with the new version, those are nice looking street tires!

maxxis will not last long. when it comes to tires, you get what you pay for. been selling tires for 15 years

I see... My jeep is like 6000+lbs and that definately wouldn't help matters. I'm going to wait another couple weeks for word on the KM2s if not looks like I'll get the old style MTs

Ricky B. I will be on day shift next week and I will try and ask some of the guys that might know. Can't promise anything because some of them are dicks.
All I know is we started making a shitload of the new mud tires in the last month or so.

To bad you don't have 16's, I wana sale my 315's for 800 bucks, they have less than 3k on them.
