Tires rubbing

I just got my zj lifted with the 4" rough country

And a set of 32x12.5r15s

My drive side tire is BARELY not touching the spring and my passenger side tire is actually rubbing..

Do I just need different wheels or??

How much backspaceing do I need ?

Either different rims or wheel spacers if you want to know what backspace you want measure what your wheels are now and add about two inches

Tires might be 11.5 wide whatever is normal is for a 32"

How do I measure the backspace? And is it more or less backspace that will move the tire away from the spring

Looking at wheels I see everything from 2.5-5" backspacing

Measure from the wheel mounting surface to the inside lip, easiest to use a yard stick and lay it on the backside of the rim that should get you close those look to have a lot of BAck spacing

I want to clear my springs but I don't want to poke out so far that I hit the fenders when I flex..

Wheel spacers are the easiest/most precise to get exactly what you want

Are the spring in the right spots on the axle spring pads??? Take a couple close-ups of the springs, where they hit? And where they mount?

The spring is seated on the axle correctly

And seems fine on my "frame" mount

I don't like the idea of spacers seems like it would be bad on lugs etc

Ill get some pics in a second when they ipload

I have been running a similar, six-lug unit on the rear axle of my FJ40 Land Cruiser for awhile without issue.

Look at your rear track bar bracket and make sure it is not torn partially off. If it is still okay then you need either an adjustable rear track bar or the extension bracket made for the rear axle side track bar bracket. Either or both will do.

What has happened is because you lifted the rig 4 inches the stock rear track bar has swung the axle down and across to the passenger side. Because you are still running stock wheels this is enough to cause clearance issues. Yes, aftermarket wheels will stop the rubbing for now. That does not re-center the rear axle under the chassis.

I've had five Grand Cherokees and wheeled them in numerous configurations. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

3.5" to 3.75" backspace is typical of any standard aftermarket wheel...depending if you go 7 or 8"...I have not heard of or experienced any issue running this backspace with 32's...DO NOT hold me to this though, as every one's sitation is a little different...

Looks like you are also measuring the bulge of the mounted tire.
