Just gotta pick up some Loc-tite 592 and torque down the head tonight 8)
Got the head off and man that engine is CLEAN, #5 cylinder had a little carbon in it, I assumed at that point the exhaust valve lifter was the problem lifter when I saw that... it wasnt terrible, but the plug looked bad and there was obvious buildup. I cleaned everything all up put new plugs in the head , new lifters and a fresh head gasket on it and sat it back on.
Then we got distracted
The forward drivers side head bolt goes through a water passage and requires a different torque spec and some kinda Loc tite stuff , Im going to grab that on the way home and button it up this evening. It rained most the day yesterday at my place so I didnt mess with it. Plus me and the girls had a mean Monopoly game going on.. ;D
