to brush or not to brush, that is the ?

I am building my wish list, and am thinking about motors, and ESC's but havent decided if I want to go brushed, or brushless, someone please school me

i have the outrunner brushless in my current project its smaller, lighter and wayyyy more powerful (torque) instead of listening to me bs about how awsome the motor is, here is a link:flipoff:

my brushless is in, and it will be nice.

I just thad a Lathe tuned too, 1000 more rpms
and about pulling 1 amp @ 5v.

Seriously considering brushless for my 2.2 project. Cost will be the deciding factor. If I can afford it, I'll go that route.

i paid like 150 for the speed control and the motor so its not bad at alll doesnt the brushed motor + speedcontrol cost around that much??

brushed is about $100, in the ballpark

If you are building on a budget, the Moped is like $30, motor is $20, so $50 total for conventional setup. Of course a Clod takes 2 motors, and a Super Rooster or Tekin Rebel cost more.

i got the ones from holmes but i got better speed control so it can handle 4ws!! :redneck: and so i think it was like 150 for me with shipping and all... but still not bad deal
