Tonga Ridge is closed due to that flooding and erosion that happenend last month.

Not saying any of us here bypassed the blockade, but the Forest Service put some Jersey Barriers across the road, and someone winched them out of the way and went up there anyways.

If anyone has any info the folks at the Skykomish ranger station would like to have a nice chat with them.

Thanks Folks,

Karl

That was happening at the cabin in the meadows up on Naches Trail, people were moving the logs so that they could drive down to the cabin, but in that situation it was usually the horse people.

Why would horse riders move the logs?

What?!?! I always thought gates and jersey barriers were part of the trail......added to add difficulty.:wtf:

When i went up there two weeks ago they were moved, i didnt even know it was suppose to be closed cause they were completely off the trail. I didnt reall see any flood damage though so not sure why but i wont go up there again now that i know

Flood damage?

Went around them (unknownly) in my Subaru.

Yep, a car. No damage that I could reach in elevation. Why not block it off at the damaged area anyways? I should note that there were no signs, notices or anything on the trail or at the ranger station.

I don't feel guilty at all.
