towing a Bronco2 what gear??

will be towing a 85 bronco2 behind the tow rig just wondering which gear I should put it in, transfercase Neutral or reg tranny in Neutral or ??

don't quote me on this but a TOYOTA guy told me to put the tranny in 4th and the t-case in neutral. but this could just be for toyotas, i dunno, I dont' have a toyota.:fawkdancesmiley:
 
If it's a manual shift case.. just shift it into neutral. No need to pull the shafts. They have an internal oil pump that is driven by the output, so it stays lubed.

Same here.

If it was a D20 you could put the t-case in neutral and be done with it (who cares what the tranny is in), if it was a D300 not the case and you need to pull the shaft.

As for a BII, I have no idea. Seems a bronco board would help, but pulling the rear shaft (and unlocking the front hubs if applicable) would be a sure bet.
