If you had $15,000 what would you go with? Bearing in mind that you already have a dizzle truck and trailer.

Gooseneck toy hauler with a small kitchen up front and fold-down beds, that's all I need.

[EDIT]: And I would save some leftover $$ to fix the steering on my truck so I can go over 55mph. :flipoff:

24' goosneck hauler with makeshift living quarters

fawk that, it's gotta be a 28' gooseneck flatbed... throw an 11' camper on the front and have room for the buggy and a little to spare so you can swing the door open.

This would be a pretty nice setup. Bonus if it's simple enough to take the camper off and put it in the bed of the truck for trips that don't involve wheeling or for when you want to haul more than one rig on the trailer.

Plus, you've got a cummins to tow it, so you're set anyway already no matter what route you go. :corn:

I'm all for a slide in camper if it's for 2 or less people. You still have a truck, trailer, milage ect.... Something very cool about a modular set up

If you have the room go with the motorhome/and if you don't the gooseneck trailer. But my money would be on a motorhome.Let me know Joe and I'll start looking around.I own a 33' class a motorhome that I bought 6yrs ago for $10,000.00 it was a repo.

I went toyhauler (Haulmark race trailer /w living quarters) for a number of reasons, but the biggest reason I went trailer over motorhome is that we also go to the dunes and pull out into the sand.... you can't do that /w a motorhome.

If you don't mind my asking, What size is it and what did you pay? Did you buy it new?

I wouldnt want to pay that much for a motor home that may sit for a few months. I would rather get a toy hauler. License, tabs, insurance, etc is all cheaper with a trailer. One less thing to worry about maintenance on also.

Personally I like this one that Anthony has. :redneck:

Someday when i am rolling in the cash like you guys. :D Ill do the trailer/toy hauler set up.

Reason being, with a motor home there's more maintenance (1 more motor, transmission, and geared/lubed axle) to maintain.

And since you already have your truck, its already something you have to maintain. Just my opinion...but I don't even have a tow-rig yet so I guess what the hell do I know.:booo:

Clarence hit is... Why in the world would I want something like a motorhome.. It is absolutely useless unless you're doing one thing, Camping. Then it's excess maintanance on top of that. Plus the truck will outpull the motorhome up any hill you're going to find AND get better mileage while doing it. Need to go get some bark? Hey take the motorhome  . dump run? motorhome? yea ya get the point. Motorhome will have more room for sure.. But if you're cooped up in your motorhome for so long to need the room, you aint camping.

I dont see a use for toy haulers really. Once you get there and you can back everything out of it thier nice,. but you cant stop and sleep in a rest stop or something without sleeping with yer toys that are leaking fuel fumes. For some it works, but not for me.

Slide in camper or motorhome and trailer. The deal with motorhomes is 90% arnt diesel and 99% arnt 4wd. So duning a MOHO Is really out of the question. HOWEVER it would really be nice to have the beds and other ammenities avalible for use while flyin down the road.

I have a 3300 lb 10' slide in and tow a trailer for the toys. If Im not riding. I leave the trailer. siple, easy, compact. Heavy as he!!

That's why you get a toy hauler that has a wall seperating the living quarters from the "garage". For someone who already has a suitable tow rig, it makes more sense to me to get a trailer than another vehicle that will only be driven once in a blue moon. That way you can also ditch the trailer at camp and drive into town to pick up food/beer/hookers without having to pack up everything.
