My rig has a toyota drivetrain and drivelines but D44's front and rear.

Right now it has the stock D44 1310 strap style yokes on the axle and the driveline yokes are stock Toyota.

In doing some reading on PBB, several guys say the best route is going with a conversion flange on the axle to run a Toyota joint. That's an option but I'm curious if anyone knows of a conversion joint that I could run?

Others said that the Spicer 1310 and Spicer brand toyota size u-joints are close enough you can swap caps and make your own. Anyone ever tried it? I figured I'd go down to napa this weekend and see what I can find.

I dont get it? is it not working now?

What are you trying to accomplish?

My opinion is to get rid of any spicer joint if you can. A toyota joint is far superior to a spicer one.

Conversion joints are garbage. Different sizes on two caps than the other two caps dont last long. U joints need to be the same size all the way around to be proper.

Just get the flanges and be done. If only you could put toyota joints in a D44 axle shaft, that would kick ass.
