The heater in my 79 isnt blowing hot air out of the main vent; the two under the dash. It blows awesome warm air out the defrost and upper side vents. What would cause it to stop blowing hot air out of the main heater but everwhere else? Its just random as it was blowing hot air couple weeks ago when i turned it on for a bit.

Sounds like the blend door is stuck.

That in the blower motor directly?

it's in the ducting system.
IIRC it's the lever on the left side of the passenger footwell

Thanks. Just ran out there. Moved the lever back up and it closed the vent off; warm air come back out. Thanks for the quick fix....the vent would blow some cold air
