went in a hole that was about 3 and a half feet deep last night with ice on top. My question is after I was pulled out my truck ran fine. I shut it off, started it later, and it was missing, and ran like ****, and you can't put a load on the motor or it will die. Any ideahs? thanks

Make sure you don't have water in your fuel tank. also check all your connecters under the hood for water in them.

i have the same problem when its moist and cold out, and i'm pretty sure i've concluded that it's mass air flow problems. i dont know why this could be your problem... but maybe? check the coil and all that i guess. hopefully you get things worked out. i considered converting my engine to propane just to rid of all the shitty sensors and wires for good. ran outta money though. good luck.

Check for moisture in the distributor cap also. That is a common problem after getting douched.

What year Toyota? What motor?

Most likely, you got dirty water in some connection/sensor. When it was still wet, no problem, but once the dirt dries you get a bad connection there.

Kinda sounds like the TPS contacts are dirty (if you're FI) - at least that's what happened to my buddy's Toy. It caused a high idle and incorrect mixture while on the throttle which resulted in poor driveability, but not as bad as yours sounds. I took the TPS apart and cleaned it up - all better :clappy:

put the load in the bed, not under the hood. more room, and it should run better! :haha:
