Its a 83 toyota with a detroit locker and 5.29's in the front. When you are in 4 wheel drive with the hubs locked its easy to turn right and hard to turn left anyone had this issue before? Also getting a bad grumbling noise from some where when you get off the throttle in 4 wheel drive. Any help would be great thanks.

sounds like you broke some **** in your front end:;

Yes it does. When you break a Birfield it usually doesn't let you steer too well in both directions. But it's also pretty darn obvious, and your lucky to steer at all. Bad steering with a bad noise in 4wheel drive, I'd say you broke an axle.

most of the time yes but when i broke my 30 spline i was able to drive home and steer just fine... i actually didn't even realize it was broken until i noticed that only one tire was spinning the next weekend thought maybe a blew a hub, low and behold i broken longfield:D
