toyota transfercase question

okay so i am getting ready to set up duals:cool: and i was wondering if i could just take the stock 21 spline input shaft and replace it with a 23 spline input shaft? i am not sure what else would be different between a 21 spline and 23 spline case? thanks :beer:
 
I got a great deal on a turbo tranny & case. Had to buy another turbo case back then to make mine work.

You can run 23 spline in the rear case if you buy a 23 spline adapter kit (or if you allready have one upgrade to the coupler to 23 spline) and either go to 23 spline 4.7 gears or buy a stock ratio 23 spline input for the rear case.

The rear case takes the abuse most of the time since its behind the first case.

i have a turbo trans with a single 4.7 i want to put a stock 2.28 23 spline gear set in a crawl box infront of my 4.7:awesomework: i have an 21-23 spline MCRO7 are you saying that i can make this adapter work if i buy a new 23 spline coupler?:rolleyes:

then your 4.7 case is already 23 spline. so its just making a 23 spline crawl box and having a 23 spline coupler. If you bought a 23 spline MCR07 then you should have the right coupler.

Still have your old 23 spline input form the case before you put the 4.7's in? you need that for to use as an input on your crawlbox(if the donor case is not a stock 23spline case).

Marlin and Trailgear both sell them if you don't have it anymore.

yes i am aware that my 4.7 gears are already 23 spline as i stated before i am running a turbo trans.:flipoff:

i had duals in my old rig w-56 and a 21spline crawl box -23spline 4.7. x-case i bought the 4.7's and adapter a couple years ago. so i guess all i need is that turbo input from marlin for my crawl box and i should be set?:cool:
