What style do you guys like/use? I got these Matsuba brand u-joints that came with my long slip from All-pro, and after one run(snow run) they're shot, now granted my front d-line angles aren't the best, but i barely ran it at high RPM and it wasn't taking much of a beating....and they're now loose...:looser: What do you guys use that hold up/last/better than the others?

Factory toyota is number 1 by far so I keep plenty of DL's around to rob factory joints out of. 2x,4x don't matter they are all the same in the trucks.

I have had decent luck with precision but all the rest AMB, BOSS etc etc are utterly fawking garbage and won't last as long as that matsuba pile you already have.

Ok, good to know, ya the slip came with a couple so i figured i'd just use those and so i bought a cople extras... at least i have spares now :redneck:

Now i gotta find some...

another vote for OEM.
the guy at Driveline service told me..that any time hes building a DL, if he can get an OEM toyota u-joint to work, he will. regardless of application. he said they are just SOO much stronger than anything else.

my trucks got something like 230k, and its still got the ORIGINAL joints. same as my 4runner, thats got about the same mileage.

in fact, they now make a yoke for D60, to run yota joints. theyre stronger, and will run at more angle.

Silly question, did you grease it before you ran it? They only come with enough grease for the shelf.

I have ran GMB and Toyota and broke 2 Toyota joints. I have wiped the needle bearings out of 2 GMBs, the first one I forgot to grease after installing and it melted. Was pretty cool, got hot enough the seals caught fire and were spinning around. They are still a good deal for $13 with a 3 year warranty.

I have a year on the trail gear creeper joints in the rear and they are holding up great so far.

No one ever listens, but I'm telling yah Fleet Pride is the best deal in town (Tacoma). I have Neapco? joints in my stuff w/o any problems. Yes, the Toyota joints are PRIMO, but these are a heafty 2nd.

Fleet pride has brand name stuff and they do great work!!!! My drive lines are 6 years old and I have yet to replace any joints.. I've driven my rig on the road a long time before it became a trailer queen...with the same drive lines. IMO they blow away Drivelines NW and a few other local shops for the price and quality. ....Now with that being said...the next run I'll probably smoke a driveline...CRAP!
