I have a driver drop atlas and a th400 transmission and a art car shifter. My question is how is the best way to route the shifter cable around to get to the shift arm on the transmission??

im probbly goin to be doing this real soon i was thinkin about flipping the brackets that bolt to oil pan and lever coming out the side of tranny so they come out on top of the case i would not what the cable under neath unless you plan on having a skid plate

I talked to wide open design today and I am going to get a longer cable. Kevin I like a artcarr shifter plus I built my console to fit it so if I went with a B and M I would need to rebuild my console.

was there a reason they said to use a longer cable i guess they said to run it under the case i would be worried about smashing the cable is it not possiable to make the cable work right if you flipped the lever of the tranny

I got a longer cable and it fits but it doesn't shift smoothly because of the way the cable is looped around the transfer case.

It may be obvious, but you drilled another hole in the floorboard? Pic, i have the same trouble on a C4 & atlas...

Yes I opened my self up for that one.

I'll try to remember to get a pic for ya. I was trying to make a big sweeping bend but you can bend it pretty sharp.
