If your avatar pic is your truck, then I would guess it is a 76-77 Ford... cant tell if 1/2 or 3/4 ton... best bet is a 205, but it could be a 203... Do you just have 4lo, neutral, 2wd, and 4hi (if so, 205) or do you have **** like HI LOC, HI, N, LO, LO LOC (then it is a 203)

Or you could just climb under it, find the shiny little red / chrome tag on the case, scrape the grease off of it, and read what it says...:flipoff:

well its all time 4wd so i am guessing 203 well u see i would look myself but my friend the great machanical genous he is well decided every marking tag on the truck needed to be taken off and painted out with undercoating.

yeah mine is toast i wonder how hard olypic 4x4 would try to buttfawk me for one anyone have any idea

IMO, make the best of the 203, and use it to mate and NP205 using a doubler kit.

Or,

A good Ford NP203's are nice stout pieces, and I'd bet you find someone willing to trade you the 203 for a 205, just as long as the range box innards are all good.

Ford, Chevy, Dodge... it doesn't matter... the 203 is in general a huge, heavy pile of ****. Take it out, throw a 205 in there, change drivelines and you won't have to worry about your case anymore, and it will actually STAY in 4 LO w/o your passenger having to keep their foot on the shifter.

the worst part of havin a 203 is me with my right foot on the t-case shifter and left foot on the gas just goin up some hill thats nothin. i even have a witness to this......my passenger then became auto shifter:redneck:

If you wanted to stick with the ford theme you could also run a dana 24 if you cant find a 205 you like, They are pretty much the same thing.
