Anyone know of a good trans builder in the snohomish county area? Im looking to get my Th350 gone through before The buggy is done.

I have a guy here in Bremerton that has done all mine, as well as a few others on here that have beat them for years with do probs.. He can do you a t-350, full manual shift, rebuilt with upgrades for 750.00+ tax carryout. He is a established business, and builds alot of trans for drag racing, wheeling, and normal use. IMO, for the money/quality of build there is no better. If interested PM me and I will put you in touch.

I need a rebuild as well on a TH350. I have a tip on a back east compay that can send me a fully built ready to go tranny for less then the price of the parts we need. Ill share with you when I get the link from a friend.

My guy is Dirty Dans Tranz in Tukwilla 206-431-8769. He has done atleast 40 transmissions for me.

Thanks for the info guys. Ill keep all of this in mind as I continue looking into getting it built.

thanks for the input. I was looking online and I can get a Heavy duty rebuilt trans from monster transmissions for 830 shipped. Im curious if theyd send me one with a full manual, reverse, compression braking valve body, and for how much extra.

I bought the trans I have from a guy on this board who had it in a buggy and said it works fine. Ive thought about just doing the valve body and trying it out.

I bought the C-6,In the buggy now, from a "known" local wheeler.....said it worked great when he pulled it. The tranny guy said the trans was JUNK and "maybe" worked in reverse but probably not:rolleyes:

I used the S-N FAB trans guy...Mike at Lee Myles in Marysville. Tranny went in the buggy years ago and has never flinched...although it is a C-6 in a little buggy sooooo............

EDIT: The one thing I'll say about a local builder is service AFTER the sale. I know if you have a problem,Mike will take care of you. I"m sure the same is true for Porter's guy. I don't remember the exact "upgrades" to my trans (5 years ago) but it was ~ 11 or 1200$.....ALOT more than your price above.

Your definately going to want a full manual with compression braking trans. Bottom line here is you dont even need to buy a manual valve body, just a transGo Stage 3 shift kit. It offers full manual capability, firm shift, with compression braking and will cost half the price of a manual valve body and will work the exact same. Scottys price of 750 includes it.
