Well its time to get either a new transmission or rebuild the one i already have!!!

I have a few questions for people. . .

Wheres a good place to get a C6 tranny rebuilt?

How much would i be looking at?

Is it cheaper to buy the B&M upgrades urself or have them pick them up to???

I am kinda on a budget so i am looking to get it done right for the least amount of money!!!!

Anybody have a friend or sumthing that can do it????

You might think about doing it yourself if you're on a budget. My understanding is that the C6 is a pretty easy tranny to rebuild. I'm sure you can get a "Rebuilding the C6 transmission" book somewhere. Grab one and dive in.

stay away from the b-m shift kits there no good ....TransGo shift Kits by gil younger every good transmission shop use his product .....
remember about shift kits the best shift is one that you dont feel ..... that jerk hard shift is really hurtin the unit by putting in a bind when it shifts

X2. And if you need any hard parts go thru art carr in CALIFORNIA. Also you can upgrade bushings to bearings to free up a ton of power.

I would totaly love to do that, but that sad truth is after moving i no longer have a garage i have both my rigs is an outdoor storage place. . . I have no place to bring a tranny and tear it down. . .

How much would u guess for the price?

B&M is junk. trans-go :awesomework: aftermarket hard parts are sometimes cheaper if you supply them and most shops don't have a problem installing them.

Your not in my area so I cant help with a location, but I get Th350-400 rebuilt for $300 in my area but I know the guy.

I wouldnt pay more than $500-$800.

Good luck!

I only use Dirty Dans Trans in Tukwilla. 1-206-431-8769. Dan has done about 28 transmissions for me and I have had NO problems at all. He works by himself at his own shop. He wheels a Samurai and a Toyota, and his sons have 4x4's also. I think he charges about $450 with a new converter.
