Ok so I got a 2001 4.3L Vortec V6 and I want to mate it to my SM465 out of a 1978 Chevy pickup. I have a flywheel from the '78 and clutch and bellhousing. I have not tried to bolt up the bell yet but I think it will work. The flywheel wont so I was wondering what clutch and flywheel I need? Any help would be great. Thanks.

No one has any advice for me on this. I think I just need a flywheel off the 4.3 then bolt my pressure plate and clutch wheel to it.

i know for sure the 4.3 came with a stick behind it...shouldnd be a problem getting the flywheel and correct clutch...
