Truck won't start

chevy 454 carbed HEI parked it last night won't start today poured a lil gas in the carb nothin it turns over but won't fire what should I check first? Dist?

Takes three things to make it run

Compression. Fuel and Air. Spark (at the correct time)

You've got compression and fuel. So check spark next.

Start at the plug and work backwards. Plugs. Wires. Cap&Rotor. Coil Wire. Coil. Power to the Coil. Ignition circuit. Etc.
