Tuners/programmers

Just got a new to me truck. It's an 08 Silverado 5.3. Does anybody have any experience with tuners for these? I've seen about eleventy seven different options. I know people that have used the Diablo tuners and the superchips.

I'll mostly keep it on either the economy or towing tune.

And I guess while I have your attention, does anybody have one they want to sell?

Get a real tune, those programmers are a joke, you won't be able to tell a difference with a handheld tuner.
I had a guy tune my 99ss a few years ago for $100 and it was a noticeable gain

Had a Hypertech Max Energy on a 07 Vortec Max (6.0) and couldn't tell a difference for hardly anything. Maybe a couple mpg but hard to judge really. Not much of a power/towing difference at all though.

I'm not expecting much. But I'd settle for a couple mpg. That'll pay off in the long run.

Diablewtune.com you get a diablosport programmer that comes with stock tunes but you can data log while you drive and then you email that log in and get a custom tune. Really opened my 5.3 up and it got better mileage. It's nice because it's super easy to do and they guy is real fast to get back to you with your new tunes and he keeps playing with them till he gets them right where he wants
