Ok, I acknowledge that there is no way this could happen but........what if.

Paul, MattO, Kelly, Rob, Myself......(sure I'm missing people here) all want to build buggies now or in the very near future. Too bad we couldn't assembly line build 4 or 5 of them. A couple weekends bending and welding up exactamundo chassis. Then work left to right suspension, then drivetrains then, cooling, then brakes, then, blah, blah, blah yadda yadda.

Buying coilovers 20 bulk. Airbumps in 20 bulk. Seats in 10 bulk.

It would be like Henry Ford of buggy building.
Paul could paint his pink, MattO Orange, Rob gets grabber Green, I'd take silver, Kelly gets Rust.
We'd save shitloads of time, and money, and we'd be gHey twinkies on the trail.

as long as my ****'s green.... :flipoff1: That's a good pipe dream!! Could definetly save some bucks :eat: too bad it's not possible with distances >:(

I already started... catch up fawkers !! :flipoff1: Im tryin to put together a "somewhat schedule" right now.. LOL , I wanna keep on it so I can meet my goals.

Its lookin like next weekend Ill actually be able to spend some "quality" time on it , so Im stoked about that. Wife is outta town, HB has plans and all I have is the KOTH to go watch.. then back to the house for a late night flog a thon.

Distances are a killer... Ill side by side you a chassis of mine or Joes for a small fee ;D

Funny thing about the distance thing. Yeah we all get along pretty damn well, pretty tight knit group of the core on Hardline. You think we'd get along as well if we were around each other all the time, and being neighbors and ****? Prolly not, it would be probably bring the drama llama.

I reflect back on the early days with my now wife, and it was all mostly long distance. She lived in Houston, and so did I, but I was in Kansas on and off for the first 6 months we were together. Had we been in the same town, I probably would have kicked her to the curb before it got as serious as it did. Distance, can be good and bad. For us on Hardline or at least me, I think its good. Plus I can rag on Matt, and he cant do anything to me until the next time I see him, and by then he will have forgot about whatever it was i did in the 1st place. LOL

Paul, if I don't find a buggy, I may go the build route with Kelly. He wants to go buggy, so why not build two for twice the cost right. Me paying labor for him to use that dough for bling parts. We've discussed it, but everytime I get ready, i have some expense or cashflow problem that I didn't have when we 1st started talking. I have no probs paying for labor, I hate spending money, but I don't have free time. Hell every minute I'm online is because I'm working and taking either a break from the tasks at hand or I'm procrastrinating.
Example: This morning, I'm sitting here waiting for the California ISO (Independent System Operator) to close their Day Ahead market. We have a problem with some power I sold another company on Friday for delivery tomorrow. The other company is now saying they dont see the schedule. So I'm sitting here trying to get it worked out with them.

If my office was just in an A/C'd shop...................and we all lived closer............

P.S. Damn that was a weird long winded rant of sorts......

I hear you guys and being close in proximately would bring more drama, but also more fun. ;D

Kelly is right on, I am at least a year if not more from building a buggy. Working yesterday griding and cutting made me once again realize how much I hate doing that ****. I enjoy ideas and the tubing aspect (not good at it), but grinding and cutting **** off sucks. My #1 priority is to pay down some debt, get my house finished and set my shop up to be the best it can be. I am planning on a welder, bender, etc. for christmas and I want to have a well layed out, super organized shop to go with it....

I cant wait for Amber to finish school ( again ) and we build our place. I want a CLEAN and ORGANIZED shop more than I want a house. :flipoff1:

I have no place to work on mine though, you at least have something. To work on mine it is a 30-45 drive one way. That just sucks, nothing will happen till I got my shop setup how I want it. I am excited to pimp out my shop and make it what I want

Note my comment above, A/C'd shop.
I have a super well setup and stocked shop. Just about everything a guy could need. I do need a lift, but thats coming real soon.
However, for about 4 months of the year I can't work in it cause its too fawkin' hot. And I'm not a ***** when it comes to heat either. Its a 40x100 steel building but with no insulation, and 15ft roof. So the sun hits it and just makes the whole shop a radiant bake oven.

Doesn't matter what I want or need to get done, and the fact that I have the tools to do it. I just won't because 15 minutes at 120degrees and 60-70% humidity means everything I have on is soaked. And then I can't keep the damn sweat out of my eyes. Then if I need to MIG I have to turn the fans off and just BAKE. Think 1/3rd of the year my shop is near useless.

I'mma get this pile done for a "learning experience" and start sockin' parts away for a badass buggy build... probably 1-2 years from starting a total new buggy--damn right now I just wanna wheel!

Well ****, let's make this more work and I will build one also. sadly I could sell both bikes and my Vitara and buy a damn nice buggy/rig and go get a loan for a tow rig. Glad I don't have the room for all that ****.

Gotta go, grillin' some chiggen for my date tonight. :flipoff1:
