Well she's in the garage and DAMN does it ride like a dream! Zero vibes and it really goes on the straights. I had it up to 130 for a few seconds and no vibes. Sounds great with the pipe and I doubt I sell it anytime soon. I will look for used plastics since the other side is scratched up also, but not broken. All in all I think it was a heck of a deal!!!

It's like sex and it doesn't talk back

take a good pic or 2 and lets hear more about it. what the hell is it (I'm a bike enthusiast, not a connessuier) engine style, maker, average money for it, what you paid, top end speed, good on corners or straights only, old as balls like you or newer and sleek????

I will get on the pics soon.

1994 Honda VFR750, V-4, sounds badass with that pipe. I paid 2K and it books in good shape over 4 still. One just sold on ebay for 1800 and it was BEAT up from the feet up and had 32K miles I think, mine only has 8500. Top speed, no idea. I had it at 135 and it was stable as fawk. It's a very linear bike. Front is heavy and corners seem odd to me so far. Front just feels real heavy and steers slow I guess.

New 25th Anniversary VFR800 at the dealer is $11,700! Mine was $8500 new in 1994!! I think that is a lot of coin. Then again the Duck 916 back in 92 was what 15K!

All in all. I have a 2005 KLR650, that is HEAVY and has 38hp. This ride has a shade over 100 and still pretty heavy! Sure is FUN though

I told you that you'd love it. Those things are just well designed and comfy man. I looked at one when I bought the Hawk but I got such a good deal on the Hawk I couldnt pass it up.

I got to ride the XL650 a bit yesterday. I liked it back road, but I still want to see how they do donw the highway... Didnt feel as torque as your KLR did...

so is it a couch like the 900 sized bikes of those years? I liked both of heath's 900RRs, you could lay your chin on your fist on the tank and be ALL the way below the windshield. the 600's and some 750's of those years were a little smaller and like the newer big bikes. can't get below the glass for **** and tiny. I like the big couches even though you can't flip them around like the newer small crazy badass bikes. I have been on a couple R1's, 929rrs and such and man, you can't get all your person under the glass for ****. I don't like it, I'd rather cruise at 100 laid out relaxing. I didn't know until the myspace pic it was single sided swingarm. does the V4 give it more torque but less wrap than an inline 4?

Yes the V4 is more torquey, than an inline 4. Still redlines at 11,500, just pulls harder than any CBR 600 or 900 that I remember riding.

KLR is a slug off pavement, but does well on long stretches of slab. Depends on your needs Paul. I don't see you being able ride someplace to camp for a weekend and get away from it all. If that is the case, I would skip the KLR and plated more dirty bike. Even under 650cc to make it more nimble and shorter in the woods/trails. KLR is too heavy, carries too much gas and has a rad. that is real likely to get hurt with you riding it. :flipper:

Oh and mine is for sale for $3k to friends, a little more to a private party. I want to put windows in my house with the coin. I will not go less as I do not need to sell. After 600 miles this coming weekend I may change my mind again. It gets consistent mid 40's per gallon and I know I am getting under 30 with this VFR at the moment, but I am riding it dirty when I can and feel safe doing so. Grin factor is worth it. I will get a video of it on youtube so you can hear the note.
