I love the retro style bikes they put out.. They did a Paul Smart SS ( if that isnt it above ) as well.

Ducati has came along way from being a camera manufacture pre-war and did you know thier first motorcycle was actually a bicycle with a small motor attached laughing1 Cucillio or something like that... Italian for lil pup.. laughing1

My most recent bike.

Ducati-907-IE.jpg

It was never one of their super bikes but it was pretty cool (when it ran).

Those were one of the most problematic models they ever had. Oddly enough though, that model was what made me fall in love with Ducati. there was a small motorcycle shop that was actually dirty bike specific down the street form my moms apartment in KC when I was a lil kid. Was actually an old gas station Its known as Letko.

I had a CR60 and would go in there on the weekends my mom had me and buy stickers and loiter for hours... they had a brand new 907ie (blue one ) sitting in there , the only street bike in the place but damn I would lust over that thing so much.. I was amazed at the mirrors being part of the fairing ( they arent and yours are broke off.... ) and how it didnt have a wind screen and so forth.

Yep, I love the Ducati's man.

My dads buddy has a 500 parallel twin that I have tried for years to get him to sell me... its in Ks sitting and he hasnt ridden in since the mid ninties. Its not a highly collectable piece but its still cool as **** to me. I dont recall the model but it was a mid 70's and as a collection item its like 2.5 stars outta 5 in the Duc world. ( obtainable in my limited financial eys... laughing1 ) the engine architect on it kills it since upright twins are not something that Ducati is known for. Who knows though, later down the road its oddball design might make it worth something...

Ive rode several different Monsters .. the first Duc I ever rode was a 750 monster and I spent alot of time on that bike , it was a buddy of mine's ( bought at Letko when he got outta the Navy ) and I put the first 500mi on it ( broke it in for him ) And "babysat" it frequently after that. Fun lil bike. he sold it for a 900S4 Monster ( it was a MONSTER too... damn fun bike ) Both of them were "Dark " models... murdered out flat black.

I came real close to buyin a repo'd 916 back in the day ( my dream bike.. well really id want an SPO888 but that will never happen laughing1 ) I love the 916 genre;s and the evolution of them... badass motorcycle that changed the motorcycle world in 94 when they came out.

I almost bought monster years back, but it was only a 600 and those were turds. Coworker had a 900 when they first came out and let me ride it. Good lord I was in lust.

916.....ninja pa-leeez! I remember someone here had one in 95ish? I almost **** at that sound with pipes and at the time 14K for a bike was nuts to me. The sound, look was a home run. I still search ebay and the like for a respectable 916 in my price range (beat up and cheap) laughing1

Yea, at the time they couldnt be had for under 12K

The repo was lightly dropped and a theft recovery , they painted the frame ( ****ing shitty and stupid too... it was ridiculous ) but it was all there and a runner advertised for 9k obo... I almost borrowed monies laughing1
