SEASON CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS
Season points are awarded to contributing members based on their performance at the competitions
5 points to each competitor for participation, plus:
10 points awarded to the overall winner
9 points for the second place finisher
8 points for third
and so on down to one point for the 10th place finisher.
1 bonus point is awarded for low score on any single stage (no points awarded for a tie)
It's a 6 event series, with the two lowest scores thrown out
Tie-Breakers - in the event of a tie, total combined time on the stages will be used to determine the finishing order.
If there is a tie in championship points at the end of the season:
For podium spots (1st - 3rd): Special stage will be run for those two competitors to determine a winner
For lower positions - average comp finishing position will be used as the tie breaker
Competitions will continue to be scored following the USRCCA rules.
***Note*** - Since we are committed to running three stages per class at each comp, there will be no
maximum points cap on each days score.
