in perfect condition anywhere from 3-$600. there are differant tooth counts for differant versions. Biggest issue with them is the thrust bearings which are darn near impossible to find.

Okay thanks for the info pokey. I will dig into it a little more and see what tooth count its has and what all came with it.

Yea except not really. He said he has a "warn" overdrive. the link you have is for a "saturn" overdrive close to the same but not the same. :booo: Have you ever taken a Warn overdrive apart ? The older ones changed every couple of years and the parts did to. There are many differant parts from year to year thus making them hard to find. Quite often it takes finding three or four of them to make one good one.

Not a problem. There are several good guys around our area that can take a look at it and tell you what its worth and or supply any parts you may need. Count the number of teeth on the output gear of your TC to see if its a 28 or a 29 tooth unit. I can PM you some phone #s if you want. Might also contact George Steel http://www.georgethejeep.com/

the saturn is a warn made overdrive.well, at least that is what it says on the site.the research i have done all led me to the AA site for parts.
i have taken exactly 0 of them apart.i only have one, and did not want to "dig in" until i had replacement parts :)
of course i am talkin about reading abunch of stuff drunk, then stepping back from the project as i am not even close to using that stuff for anything anytime soon type of thing.totally admit i know nothing about them.except i have one, with absolutely no markings, that matches the pics of both any "saturn" i seen, and the "warn" boxes as well.is there that little of difference?

cheers, b

If I recall correctly, Warn originally designed and sold the unit. At some point, Warn quit production and the unit went obsolete. The patents were sold, then resold. I believe AA owns the rights now.

right, which would make that thrust bearing kit easier to find now:redneck::fawkdancesmiley:cheers, b

seriously, good luck with that kit. I hope it fits for you. I have gone thru several old warn overdrives over the years and have seen at least 3 differant size thrust bearings. The kit AA is selling is a generic kit that was designed for the redesigned saturn unit that resembles the old warn overdrive. You might get lucky but then again you might not. There are several other parts that have been redesigned as well that are also very hard to find in usable condition. but again good luck with the kit. I hope it works for you :awesomework:
