Anyone used one of these?

sum-371101_m.jpg

I'm planning to order one up this morning, I need one so I can run my coolant lines on the same side of the truck since there's not enough room to send one down the drivers side due to the steering shaft/box.

I'm just a little timid about it sealing properly.
Thanks for the feedback...

I have used them a # of times and never had a problem...

o ring is the best gasket made. never used that particular one but very similar in my hotrod days no problems.

just grease the o ring up before you install.

Thanks guys, exactly what I was hoping to hear.

I was a little hesitant because the outlet I'm using now uses an O-ring, and I've been having cooling issues. I've replaced everything, flushed everything, and still was having issues. Then I was talking to an older guy who is a hobby hot-rod builder, and he mentioned he had issues with his o-ring sealed water neck. He said it would pull air in but water wouldn't leak out which describes my issue.

I never have fluid leaking that you can see anywhere but for some reason the truck kept over heating, (talking like 230-240* easy everytime I was on the throttle, like driving in low range on a trail).

I installed an inline peckock (sp?) since my radiator is in the bed, and would bleed the air out every 20 mins but it would always develop more air pockets like clock work. And when I cracked it there was never any fluid coming out just air. :wtf:

So this time I thought I would use the o-ring but seal it with some silicone as well.

Any thoughts? :corn:
