On the way home from the tree run, we swung by the scales to take a peek...

'88 Crew Cab, 454, t400, np205, srw, 8 lug d44 front, 14bff rear, 35" BFGs and a ladder rack...

Me, the wife, three kids, one dog, bunch of food, water, gear and afresh cut X-mas tree added to the weight of the rig...

The scale said it weighed 3940lbs...:eeek:

That doesn't sound right to me, at all...

What do you guys think???

The state patrol owns that scale and Im gonna assume it crooked as ****. Plus its in spanaway, nothin works in spunaway:redneck:

I have never trusted the one axle at a time scales. I would drive it on the one at the dump. Before they can tell ya they dont weigh rigs you have already looked at the screen and know, just dont get a slip to prove. Then just say sorry and leave.

Yeah, I was thinking it was right around 7000lbs...

Ask Donnie, he had to give me a tug today...:haha:

I'll have to hit the dump this week...:awesomework:

That is as much as my entire Toyota truck weighs. :haha:

I wonder if it is reading metric....?

It was dark by the time I pulled into there...

I just drove up and stopped, waited for the scale to stop fluctuating...

I only pulled in there because I've heard of guys using it and the scale is always on...

State scales are axle scales, you should have pulled forward till the scale read the weight of the rear axle. :;

Hell, my pathfinder weighs more than that with no one in it!:eeek: Somethings wrong, or ya only got 1 axle on it!:awesomework:

Not a chance in hell. Me in an 89 ranger supercab 4x4 31s, Empty bed, is right at 4k. :eeek: (4 and some change at the south hill dump)

Used to own an 89 1ton Crewbus 4x4 D60f, all the goodies...31`5/75/16 Radial Claws; With one of two tanks full, me in the dr seat it weighed in right at 7K....
My 97 PSD Extracab longbox weighs in at 7160, same scenario as crewbus...
