So this is kinda part two of earlier post. I found out while taking my axle apart that it is limited slip, I have a 93 suzuki sidekick 16valve motor and axles pure stock. I was told that limited slip is not good to weld, is it? I dont know much about this. I havent welded anything or put it back together just waiting to see what you think.

Seems like a waste of a good limited slip axle.

It might be fun to try and shim the cup springs to make the clutch disk pack super tight. You could make the clutch tight enough to be damn near locked.

Problem with a limited slip--is you have the clutch packs to deal with when trying to turn it into a spool...

Find an open carrier/complete 3rd with the same gears(can be found cheap), then either minispool it, or weld it....

If its a clutch pack with the Z shaped spring in the middle.
Stretch the spring for more pressure on the clutches, or put something in as a spacer to make more pressure.
