Been doing alot of reseach on wheels for ma new buggy :woot:

Running Rocks and 47x17" LTB's. I really dig the looks of the aluminum wheels but not sure they would hold up to that heavy of a rig and right foot of mine. What are you guys running and what do you recommend. I have priced the Stazworks double BL's and the MRW/MRT singles. Im not sure if I really need a double BL or not. Post up whatever....looking at Allieds, TR's, everything really. From what I can see so far nobody makes an alum. BL for a Rock pattern. If you sell whatever feel free to PM me some prices. Im looking for 17x10 maybe 9's.

I built mine from a set of centers and rings I bought from broncomania on here.

Took some wagon spoke 15x10 wheels cut the center out and welded what I got from broncomania in.

I sent him a PM but he never posted a price for the 17" stuff. I would have to buy 17" wheels to start with....probably new since there doesnt seem to be much used stuff out there yet in that size, beadlocks and centers.....plus cut up a new wheel and do all the labor. Might be cheaper just to buy some.

Well I called Marsh Racing (MRW/MRT) and talked to them. For $574.65 I can get four 17" steel wheels with the Rockwell pattern shipped to me. I can get 17" weld on beadlock kits for like $250 shipped to my door in any pattern I want. Comes up to be like $825 bucks for a set of single beadlocks....NOT BAD!

Or I can get MRW single 40 bolt beadlocks for $1428 roughly and can pay $206 bucks to get a replacement from them if I mess one up.

They also have double beadlocks but they are roughly $500 a piece....out of the question. I called them back to ask them about there Rockwell centers and they said they just stack plates up that are 1/8" thick....not a pressed center. Waiting on a return phone call to find out how many they stack. She said on a 16" wheel there are only two.....1/4" aint gonna cut it I dont think.

Mrt Wheels are very hard to beat for the durability and stamped ring, but they do not give them away.
I can probably save you a dollar or two if you decide you want to go that route.

I am a HUGE fan of the Stazworks double beadlocks. They've outlasted 2 buggies now and are going on a third. There's nothing tougher for my money.

MRW, they hold up great
i am running rocks and 47s and have a heavy right foot, no probs so far with them

Hey Jimmy a dollar or two saved is a dollar or two more I can spend at your shop........

I was gonna call you yesterday but remembered ya'll are closed up for shitty Mondays.

I like the Staz wheels but $1500+ is not really what I wanna spend on wheels.

How "needed" are double beadlocks over singles?

Umm gotty the nice price from Joe today at EOR for some MRW's.....forget building my own. :woot:

Hell I cant ever get ahold of Jimmy.....he is always at the part store. Im gonna start calling the parts store in Murf from now own to get ahold of him..... :****:

MRW all the way had em on fatgirl never had a bent wheel . drove back to the truck on rim many many times (MARSH RACING WHEELS)

I thought you had Staz on that old Fatbitch? Maybe it was the next owner or something that put them on there. Hell I guess you would know. Ok that dilemma is solved now that gear Atlas....?? It never ends.
