What is the best D60 front to pair with my rear?

I'm $40 into a FF D60 from a 95 E-350 with the big bore spindles, smooth bottom, and thick tubes. I plan on going ahead and doing 35 spline shafts, welded carrier ( already have free side gears), and disc brakes and running 37's. Being a 8x6.5 BP, it is different than the 05+ SD60 i had been planning on using. Is it worth it to have the hubs redrilled for the bolt pattern, or should i change my sights and look for another 60? I'd like to do Hi steer- if possible, hydro assist, and I'll be using coils until i win the lottery and can go ORI's. Anyone have some guidance?

For using Coils and buckets, the easiest (not the cheapest) will be a '77-'79 Ford D60 from a Snowfighter or F350, there is more room on the drivers side tube.

get an 05+ D60, use factory coil mounts, redrill unit bearings to 8x6.5, or run 2 different wheels on the front...

I just picked up a set of H2 wheels, so I'd like to keep em all 4 the same.

How well do the SD60 coil mounts line up with the stock Jeep width of the coils?

I run a dodge 60 with coil springs . Passenger side a little tight but it works .

Not at all I'd say...

The factory coil mounts are very wide on the 05+ axles.

You can make any of the Dana 60s work, there are threads and pics of every style adapted to jeep coil springs. The 79 model with the longer driver tube will make things a bit easier, but it's not required.

Any Ford 60 from the 90s will be less hassle than a super duty 60, or buy a 79 model axle that is already built and be money ahead
