I ran the TSL radials on a Yota I used to own...I really liked 'em. I've heard good things about the Trxus mt...but no personal exp...
As for mileage...I would guess with proper care, you should be able to get 30-40K miles out of the TSL's... One thing I did, which seemed to help alot was sipe the center sections....:awesomework:

no way 30 or 40 k... maybe 25k at the most for the tsl rad....... get a bfg Km2 best of both worlds my 2 cents

Sipe or Groove?!?! Because I had the middle lugs GROOVED in half and that was most excellent! They were noisier than hell though, worse than my 36" Iroks or 39" Iroks were/are, even aired down. But i still liked them, and no you're never going to get 30k out of a TSL. :awesomework:

EDIT:

What about a Pro Comp M/T, those seem to be a good alternative to the BFG KM's. Or an MTR... but they're spendy...

Siped....:awesomework: It also seemed to quiet 'em down abit.
30K out of a TSL radial???:; A buddy of mine got almost 40K on a set of 33x12.5x16.5 he bought brand new for his 79 F250....If it's not Interco, I personally am partial to the BFG's...don't much care for the Procomp or the MTR, at least not for what we have (had:mad:) up here...

I like the Pro Comp Extreme MTR. They aren't as cheap as they used to be and not quite as much traction as the TSL off-road but they have better sidewalls then the old BFG MTR's I had. They drive fine without vibration without balancing them.

Of course, I haven't taken them over 50. Except that one long stretch where I was able to hit 52. :D

I had a set of 35X12.5/16.5 BFG MT's on my D-Max. Still had 25% tread at 51,000 mi. but had 3 go out of round which I heard was common. I liked them untill I had to replace 'em. They were the old style not the KM 2's. BFG quite making the 35/16.5 or I may have bought a new set. 50,000 mi on any 35's is a bonus in my book especially on a diesel. I ended up getting Trxus M/T's. At first I loved them they were relativly quiet, rode smooth and look cooler than the BFG's but now they beat the **** out of me for 20min when I drive. I only drive 1mi. each way to work and don't put many miles on the truck. The "experts" I purchased the tires from said all swampers are prone to flat spotting and since I don't drive far enough to get the tires warm they don't get a chance to true up. My wife won't even drive it anymore:awesomework:. I had S&S try to balance them and you could see them wobble on the machine. I wont buy another set of swampers for a daily driver if this is what I have to endure. If they were TSL's or Boggers I wouldn't complain but Trxus is kinda a street tire or at least that's how it's marketed. I was thinking about contacting Interco to see what they had to say. My 40" Iroks ride better than these eggs.:puke:
Sorry I turned it into a bitch session but ask questions about the Trxus before you buy. Also, I don't want to post the store I bought them from but their service has been F-ing worthless.
So: More onroad go BFG M/T More offroad go swamper My $.02

why are they bad in the snow?

Because they aren't a soft rubber, I went to the irok this winter and can go places in two wheel drive that my BFG's couldn't go in 4 wheel locked up, but the irok won't last long if it is on a daily driver. All tires have their weakness though.

oh ok.... ya i wish i could buy some iroks but i would be buying them every 10k miles if for dd. haha
