What transfercase?

Does anyone know what transfercase this is?
It is very similiar to a 205, has the same shifters and is stamped 1.96 to 1 but I was told it was not a 205. It has a PTO on the backside of the front ouput.

To the best of my knowledge that IS a 205 It's got the nut on this side for the idler gear and the 3 (or 4) bolt cover on the other side on the other side of the idler gear shaft.

Divorced setup it looks like - funky outputs.. What is it out of? A 203 would have that doubler box on the front and be chain driven. Anything that heavy, ugly and has the requisite giant-ass gears IS, by definition, a 205

I hear ya, very similiar. I sent the pics and talked to the guys at off road design and they said it is not a 205. All of the 205's (divorced) I have seen have differn't cases. this came in a buggy I bought. I have a ford divorced 205 aprt next to it, and there are differnces, but are close. the cases are totally differnt. Power was coming into this where the front output would normally be. or it is run backwards

I knows theres a way to convert a dodge 205 to make what normally would be the front output into the input so u can inturn rotate the t-case down for better driveline angles.

anglefly where did you get the info on the pwr input swap. That is how mine is installed. Power going into the front output. I need someone who knows

You can grind the detents in the shift rails or order ones that are already done from offroad design for the 205. the twin stick kit that they have will work also. Front outputs from a dodge or ford 205 32 spline will work with the correct yoke and seal combination.

I read it a thread in here about a member on this board doing it. .. . . PM CHOP SHOP he is the one that has done it. .... u can also said out in the garage section under BIG BANANNA TACO and read about the t-case and drivelines and such

looks like the case in my daily driver. its an early dodge m37 case and the output you refer to being a pto is realy the mount for the drum e brake. they are a good case though and different from a 205:awesomework: heres a pic ofthe dodge i drive.

they might have, i will have to look at a friends truck this weekend. the other truck is my future tow rig. its a 5ton with combat beadlocks and new 53 inch michelins. it runs killer but i need to get the radiator fixed. its the only way i can figure out how to drive 53s on the street without going to court every month.

Does that case even have a shifter interlock pill? Try shifting the rails independantly and see. If they move independant then nothing to do internally to make it twin stick. Now when you shift it see if one shifter is for high and low and the other for 2wd and 4wd. If yes you may not even want to bother twin sticking it. If this is the case I wouldn't even use it for a wheeler at all.
